Olympia, Greece

We woke up very early and took a tour of the ruin's of Olympia. It was so incredible to be where the first Olympics were held! Some might say, "who care's about all the piles of rocks?" I say, "Wow!" Look at all of this history! These "piles of rocks" can tell us so many things that happened hundreds of years ago! That is amazing to me!
Enjoy the pictures!

Beautiful landscape of Greece!
These people cracked me up :) I waved at them and they waved back!
These were fountains where we re-filled our water bottles :)
We are at the ruins of Olympia. Our guide was great!

The pillars were awesome!

Leah is a column huger :P
There were a lot of people there!
This was so cool to me! I loved seeing the Greek letters.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is where the very first Olympic competitor's practiced their racing!
We decided to have a little race of our own!
Sarah and Jacqui were the second and first winners in the girl section. Our guide gave them olive tree branches as their reward :)

The co-op!
We were able to tour a little museum as well! This statue amazed me! Look at her hair!
The creases and detail's in these statues were so life like!
Stephanie and Preston Cone! :)
Mr. Dana and Sarah
Sophie and Jacqui :)
Jenna and I!
Olympia was a fantastic place to tour! All of the history we learned was wonderful! :)
