Corinth and Athens, Greece

Fourth stop was Corinth and Athens! These were the first places we visited that Paul had been! That was amazing! To stand where Paul had stood. To see the things that Paul would have seen. It was a good day!
Enjoy,
Grace Anne

This is the Corinth Canal. It connects the Gulf of Corinth to the Saronic Gulf in the Agean Sea.
It was pretty cool to see!
These are pillars in the ruins of Corinth. There isn't a lot left of the city because the Romans came in and destroyed it in 146 B.C.

The mosaic's in the museum we went to were amazing!
I loved all of the pottery too :)

As I said, the Romans pretty much destroyed everything.

This structure was really neat!
Some random church I saw when were driving to Athens :)
We bought some more gyros for lunch and found an old restaurant that had gone out of business.
It was actually really pretty with the "vine roof" and was a fun place to eat our delicious gyros!

At the bottom of the Acropolis in Athens! We had to walk a long, steep trail to get up there!

The view from the Acropolis!
I loved seeing the old ruins just sitting in the middle of the city.

Old temples on the Acropolis.

The view from Mars Hill. Yes, the Mars Hill in the Bible where Paul preached! Sadly I didn't get a picture, but we were there! Max Clark got out his iphone and read Paul's sermon on Mars Hill. It is found in Acts. It was incredible to be where Paul had been! Absolutely incredible.
