Key to your heart

The key to your heart is the most precious of gifts

For it contains the power of your heart’s door to lift.

They key to your heart is both powerful and rare

And so it must be used with the greatest of care.

Don’t give it to things that will not satisfy,

Don’t give it to knowledge that fills but leaves dry,

Don’t give it to people who can shift like the sand

Don’t keep it to yourself, there is so much you don’t yet understand

Give it to the One whose love covers your heart

Who loves you, keeps you, and will never depart.

Five it to Him Who’s Shepherd of your soul,

To the only One who can truly make you whole.

And give it to the two He has given to you,

Two who will guide you and who lead you through,

The darkest of nights and the brightest of days,

Who instruct you to always guard your ways.

With Jesus and your parents you can keep your heart pure,

For their love and devotion you will always find sure.

And when you grow and into the world you must go,

Your pure heart can open and Jesus’ love can flow.

To a husband, to whom a whole heart you can give,

And to children from your heart instructions to live,

To a world who is hungry and longing to see,

You can show them your heart- pure, holy and free!
